Hi! My name is Yang Shan (Sandy).
It’s great connecting with you.

I am an interactive designer who enjoys understanding other people’s needs and providing thoughtful solutions for their needs. I love to know people’s backgrounds, motivations, and challenges.

Experience

As a Designer at Bounteous (a digital solution agency), I work across a wide range of interactive projects based on researching the current trends of customer emotional interaction to create a call to action (CTA) screen flow for store kiosks and social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

While I worked at Bluecadet (an experience and interactive design agency in Philadelphia), I communicated and developed creative solutions to unique customer problems in an environment of multidisciplinary collaboration. I worked on multiple interactive projects in Augmented Reality (AR), where I enjoy bringing difficult-to-explain subjects to life in a visual and easy-to-understand format. One of my core strengths is to build successful prototypes that describe a vision of the future.

Background/Roots

After finishing my bachelor’s in Communications, I switched majors to Illustration for my master’s back in Taiwan. During the last year of my degree, I enrolled in the Exchange Student Program to study western typography in Grand Rapids, Michigan. During my time studying in the United States, I interned at three graphic design companies: 834 Marketing & Design, Carnevale, and ArtPrize—The international Art Competition. Before beginning my second master’s degree at Tyler, I was a lead UI/UX designer at Gimmatek Technology—a startup company in Taiwan developing an app that provides rewards to users who walk a certain number of steps. I’m passionate about each project I pursue and enjoy my lifelong journey of discovery as a visual designer and problem-solver.
